We wanted to give you all an update on this year’s Oxford Children’s Hospital Charity annual golf day…
As many of you know, the OCH is very close to our MD, Dan Hancocks’ heart as they gave his little boy Jack three life-saving operations seven years ago. Dan works closely with the team from the charity to organise the event and to generate support and sponsors.
With the sun shining down on Studley Golf course the day was set to be a good one. 100 business owners and professionals signed up for the day to help celebrate the ten year anniversary of the charity. Everyone had a great time with various accolades being won including winning team, runners up, nearest the pin and the longest drive.
In the evening, there was a dinner and an auction with some amazing prizes including a box at the ATP tennis finals, a framed 1966 World Cup photo, a holiday to Portugal and a stunt pilot experience to name but a few, which helped generate a fantastic amount of money.
The total amount raised this year was just over a staggering £37,000 which was way beyond everyone’s expectations. We can’t thank everyone who contributed to this day enough.
Dan said, “We have been blown away by the figure raised this year. People have been so generous to this amazing cause. Fellow volunteers have all worked so hard to bring this event together and it was a fantastic day for everyone who came along.”
The amount raised in total over the last 5 years was £66,000 so this figure brings the total amount raised to over £100,000 in its 6th year.
For all those who attended there are ProTracer videos taken on the longest drive competition hole on the OCH Golf Day Website. You can get copies of these from firstname.lastname@example.org.
