We are delighted to congratulate two of our longstanding customers, Aggregate Industries and Anixter for both recently obtaining their CICMQ quality accreditation.

The Chartered Institute of Credit Management’s, CICMQ accreditation is “A formal recognition of an organisation’s commitment to quality, continuous improvement and best practice in all things credit.” It is applicable to all sizes of business, across all industries and the CICM have many FTSE100 companies on board.

To gain the accreditation companies must successfully complete an assessment process. This comprises of six key areas:

  • Credit Policy

  • Customer Service

  • Developing Staff

  • Monitoring Performance

  • Roadmap & Stakeholder Management

Once accredited companies gain an award with certificate, a comprehensive consultation report outlining areas of best practice as well as recommendations for improvement.

Aggregate Industries are no stranger to this accreditation having been awarded it now for five years in a row, their first time being in 2010. Phil Rice FCICM, Head of Credit, commented, “The CICMQ re-accreditation enables us to differentiate ourselves from our competitors and demonstrate to our business that we are adding value and that the support we give them is a recognised high standard. It has also allowed us to benchmark ourselves and share best practice with other CICMQ accredited companies.”

Anixter is also celebrating after receiving their CICMQ award for the 3rd year in a row. Commenting Lisa Humpries, Credit Manager, said “We had a great time at the presentation -  our award and certificate was presented to us by Glen Bullivant FCICM (CICM Vice President & Exec Board Member), and the whole of Anixter's UK & Ireland Credit Team were there.

It's such a massive achievement for the team, and we are all so proud of the hard work that has been put in and continues to be. It gets harder the more times you go for re-accreditation as you have to show each time how you have improved and what changes have been made since the last one.

It was also a great privilege for our Senior Vice President, Steve Balk, to dial into the presentation from the States during their Thanksgiving Break to congratulate the team and to tell them how proud he is of them and their achievements.

This accreditation and recognition has given the team even more "buzz" and they are already geared up for more during 2019!”
