CoCredo was started in 2002 as part of Wyse Leasing, and became a stand-alone company in 2005. In August 2009 a managment buyout (MBO) was completed, which allowed us to assert our independence and strength as a stand-alone business away from Wyse Leasing. As part of this MBO, we changed our name from Wyse Assist to CoCredo Ltd.
The 'Credo' part of the name comes from the Latin for 'trust', and is the root word for credit with the 'Co' meaning both 'together' and 'company'. This is because we believe in working closely with our customers and we are proud to build relationships based on trust.
In March 2010 we moved our headquarters from Chesham to the prestigeous Missenden Abbey in Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire. This move gave us room to expand the business and grow our dedicated team.
In 2015 the ownership structure changed again as Richard Hogarth stepped down as Director of CoCredo in order to pursue other unrelated interests. Dan Hancocks acquired Richard's shareholding and is now the sole owner of CoCredo.

In 2014 we were delighted to have won 'Credit Information provider of the Year' at the Institute of Credit Management Awards. In 2015 the ICM gained its royal charter, thus becoming the Chartered Institute of Credit Management (CICM). We were then once again nominated as finalists for the 'Credit Information provider of the Year'.
In the wider business arena we have been awarded 'Company of the Year' and also the 'Excellence in Customer Service' award at the Buckinghamshire Business Awards 2015. This followed on from our success the previous year in winning the 'Small Business of the Year' award.
